This Privacy Policy describes how Prudential Market handles personal information collected, used, and shared when a visitor or customers accesses Prudential Market platform services. 

prudentialmarket.shop and prudentialmarket.net are both multi-vendor online catalogs free for wandering web traffic to browse, however purchase completion and other communication services accessible by the platforms are only available for registered site patrons.  Registered patrons provide information such as contact information including personal email address and personal shipping address; note payment information is provide during the checkout process by payment gateway, its not needed by Prudential Market as part of consumer or site patron registration.  The contact information collected allows Prudential Market to track who is making requests across the platform, while shipping information allows the platform to develop shipping quotes using 3rd party courier API's.   


SECTION 1 - TRANSACTIONAL INFORMATION

Completing financial transaction through prudentialmarket.shop or prudentialmarket.net domains will require member enrollment; enrollment itself is completely free, and will add a my account page to the users profile.   

What personal information is collected?   

When you create an account to purchase something from our store, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address; which is used to coordinate invoicing and product delivery. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer Internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.   

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.   When you post something to the blog you are making your comments or suggestions available to others, and possibly your account name. 

Payment: 

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, the online store transmits your credit card data. The store data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.


SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

 

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collection and use of your personal information, as it is required for fulfilling request or transaction completions; and we imply your consent for  those specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

After you opt-in, if you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at [email protected] or [email protected].  Once a request to terminate user account is made and validated by email, a Prudential Market site administrator will make appropriate platform changes; please note accounts may be initially suspended in function and may take up to 90 days to be fully purged by platforms or Microsoft 365 services of Prudential Market

Do you disclose my information?   

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.


SECTION 4 - ONLINE STORE

Our online stores are powered by X-Cart and Shift4Shop, they keep our online e-commerce platforms running 24/7, secure in the cloud, and equipped with the tools to help both vendors and consumers.  Both platforms are then extended by functions of payment gateways and courier services.  Limits regarding consumer content listed on Prudential Markets platforms stem from sanctions set in place by these members, and legislations set forth by the government of Canada.  For example weapons and controlled substances may not be sold through Prudential Market by legislation and enforcement, as well drug and sex paraphernalia may not be sold through Prudential Market by end user license terms set by payment gateways.  


SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
